Countdown to a New Chapter: Starting the School Year with IB Purpose

As summer begins to wind down, excitement starts to build at Lehigh Valley Academy RCS.

The countdown to a brand-new school year is officially on — and with it comes fresh opportunities to grow, connect, and lead with intention.

In the International Baccalaureate (IB) community, the start of school isn’t just about supplies and schedules. It’s about preparing to embody the IB Learner Profile traits in and out of the classroom — traits like being open-mindedreflective, and risk-takers.

Whether students are returning to a familiar campus or stepping into their very first day at LVA, this time of year encourages curiosity, courage, and personal growth. We know that growth doesn’t always come from having the right answers — it often comes from asking the right questions, trying something new, or stepping outside your comfort zone.

As we gear up for the year ahead, we encourage students and families to reflect on this question:
“What kind of learner — and person — do I want to be this year?”

From our youngest Kindergartners to our graduating Seniors, every member of our community has the chance to start this new chapter with purpose and possibility.

Here’s to a year filled with learning, leading, and living the values that make LVA and the IB experience so impactful!
