Every year, our 3rd-grade students transform into influential figures from history… Also known as the Living Museum! They share their stories and achievements with their 2nd-grade friends in a unique and interactive presentation. It was a day filled with excitement and inspiration as history stepped out of the pages and into the classroom!
Researching Remarkable Lives
Each student carefully selected a historical figure to study. They dived deep into their significance and the lasting contributions they made to society. Through this process, students developed their research skills and gained a richer understanding of the impact these individuals had on the world.
Connecting to the IB Learner Profile
To personalize their presentations, students connected their chosen historical figure to an IB Learner Profile trait. They reflected on qualities like being principled, courageous, or reflective, discovering how these traits aligned with the lives and legacies of these remarkable people.
Bringing History to Life
The classrooms were buzzing with excitement as students donned creative costumes, showcased artifacts, and shared fascinating fun facts. Their hard work and creativity turned the school into a living museum, fostering curiosity and sparking meaningful conversations about history. What an unforgettable day of learning and discovery!
